Meetup Description: Ah yes, it's that oh so sweet funky time again...the first Markham Park hill repeats run and ride of 2009 is here! Often known as the vomit comet, the course that you love to hate, or the Bataan Death March, this ride and run, in that order, isn't that long, but it is intense. Granted it is the beginning of the season and we might not be all in top form, so feel free to go as hard as you want....vomit is not guaranteed unless you actually want it!

Seriously, this is a great workout. It is on the road inside the park, so road bikes are preferred. Distance and pace are entirely up to you. The course is a loop, so you simply cannot get lost or dropped, though you may get passed by the blonde Russian Rocket, aka ScriptHead.

So some one and all to the first fling of the season.

Enter Markham Park and pass through the entrance booth, there is no fee during the week. You will come to a stop sign right away. Go thru that stop sign and you will immediately go over a small hill, as you crest the hill, look for a small road/parking lot on the left. Turn there and park at the first spot you can find. I will likely ride there, so I wont have a car, but if you see some people with bikes loitering and looking suspicious, you have found us. If you get lost, call or text me at 954.540.2824.

Oh, if you are reading this, you are an athlete so you cannot use the St. Paddy's hangover as an excuse. Nice try tho....
